Pre-Sale Information

At The Laughing Ogre, pre-orders are the best way to secure high-demand hobby boxes and trading card sets before they hit the shelves. Due to the high volatility and limited allocations in the trading card market, the following terms apply to all pre-sale purchases.

1. Guaranteed Allocation

When you place a pre-order with us, we reserve your product from our confirmed distributor allocation.

  • Note: In the rare event of a manufacturer "short-print" or distributor cut, orders will be fulfilled in the order they were received. If we cannot fulfill your order, you will receive a 100% full refund immediately.

2. Pricing Policy

  • Price Protection: The price you pay at the time of pre-order is locked. Even if the market price for the box doubles by release day, we will never charge you more.

  • No Adjustments: Conversely, because we commit funds to distributors to secure your product, we do not offer price adjustments if the market price drops after your purchase.

3. Release Date & Shipping

  • Street Dates: We strictly adhere to official manufacturer release dates. We cannot ship or allow local pickup for any product before its official "Street Date."

  • Processing: Pre-orders are prioritized and typically ship within 24–48 hours of the official release date.

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change, but because we secure inventory based on your order:

  • Standard Pre-orders: Cancellations are accepted for a full refund up to 48 hours before the official release date.

  • Late Cancellations: Any cancellation requests within 48 hours of release may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, as the product has already been allocated and prepared for shipment.

5. Combined Orders

If you purchase "In-Stock" items and "Pre-Order" items in the same transaction, your entire order will be held until the final pre-order item is available to ship.

Pro Tip: If you want your in-stock cards right away, please place two separate orders!
